2. Submit a Florida real estate license application, fingerprint card, and appropriate fee. It is important to know that you may submit the real estate licensing application to the State of Florida before taking your Real Estate sales course.
3. After you have completed and passed the 63-hour Florida Real Estate Licensing sales course and your application with the State of Florida has been accepted, you will need to schedule to take the Florida Real Estate Sales Associate examination (state exam) with a grade of at least 75.

Note – Florida Real Estate License has entered into a Mutual Recognition agreement with 10 states:
Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, Colorado, Nebraska, Georgia, Oklahoma, Indiana, Tennessee

* **The examination is given by Pearson Vue. Visit their website to find a location near you to set up your exam once the application has been approved by the DBPR. 4. Once you have completed and passed the state exam, your Florida real estate license is considered ‘inactive’ until you join a Real Estate Brokerage. You can not sale real estate yet. The real estate broker you choose will submit RE 2050-1 form to the Division of Real Estate, which will activate your real estate license.

*** Whether holding an active or inactive Florida real estate license, you will be required to successfully complete a FREC-approved post-licensing course for real estate sales associate consisting of at least 45 classroom-hours, prior to the expiration of the initial sales associate license.
